LPS, known to cause an inflammatoryresponse, activates the immune system via TLR4 and is a common featurein many inflammatory diseases, such as cancer, inflammatory boweldisease (IBD), diabetes and others, and sepsis.13,37−42 Until today, there is no effective therapy for sepsis, so it isurgent to develop antagonists based on the LPS structure to treatthis. Here, TLR4 is linked to inflammatory bowel disease.
