Upregulation of AnxA2 is generally associated with an aggressive and metastatic cancer phenotype, as well as resistance to chemotherapy, being directly related with advanced clinical stages of several cancer types such as lung, breast and colorectal tumors (Xu et al., 2015) as well as neuronal malignancies (Maule et al., 2016; Christensen et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene ANXA2 and cancer.
