In NSCLC cells, reduction of ALKBH5 in the nucleus results in an increase of m6A modification of SOCS2, and SOCS2 levels are down‐regulated, further activating the JAK‐STAT signaling pathway and resulting in increased malignant progression of NSCLC cells (Figure 8O). Here, ALKBH5 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
