In vitro and in vivo assays revealed that the curcumin nanocapsules caused selective and potential cytotoxic effects against colon cancer cells and diminished the protein expression of cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) and the activity of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) in vivo, inhibiting cancer cell proliferation and inflammation in carcinogen 1,2-dimethylhy-drazine (DMH)-induced CRC [76].
