Feola et al. followed 53 breast cancer patients treated with anthracycline-based chemotherapy and found that patients had a reduction in LVEF of >10% at follow-up, with a baseline BNP of 55.5 ± 72.3 pg/mL, and those who did not had a baseline of 26.1 ± 21.4 pg/mL (p = 0.07 HR 0.96–1) (p = 0.07 HR 0.96–1) [9].
