The proinflammatory cytokine concentrations of IL-8, IL-10, IL-1B, and TNF-α were found to be significantly increased in patients with Hashimoto’s disease, who have anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies and/or anti-thyroglobulin antibodies as compared to age- and sex-matched controls.
