Finally, the positive correlation between daily free hours with hs-CRP in the global sample could be explained by a possible association between daily free hours and negative moods and/or unhealthy lifestyles; this finding coincides with a previous report of our research group, where a low positive correlation was detected between the inflammatory marker erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and daily free hours in patients with rheumatoid arthritis [39].
