In this sense, the inclusion of biochemical variables, such as the number of leukocytes, uric acid, liver, and kidney function parameters, as well as the presence of erythrocytes in urine (present in menstruation), among others, would give a better approach to determine the main associated variables with the inflammatory marker CRP in general and in each sex; while considering that some of these parameters are related with infections or inflammatory conditions that would increase CRP.
