miR-143 can inhibit the proliferation of smooth muscle cells by targeting Elk-1 (Ets-like protein 1) and Klf4 (Kruppel-like factor4) [77], miR-143-3p promotes cardiomyocyte proliferation in mice with myocardial infarction through Yap/Ctnnd1 [78], miR-143 inhibits the proliferation of leukemia cells by inhibiting the expression of KAT6A [79], and miR-143 can inhibit the proliferation of breast cancer cells by regulating ERBB3 [80]. Here, KLF4 is linked to myocardial infarction.
