Mice with MetS showed a significant decrease in the gene expression of Ins-r (p < 0.05; Figure 5B) and Gys-1 (p < 0.01; Figure 5B) in gastrocnemius muscle compared to controls, and these effects were totally prevented by supplementation with CTE (p < 0.05 for both; Figure 5B). This evidence concerns the gene INSR and metabolic syndrome.
