Hypomethylation of HOXA10 is associated with higher levels of HOXA10 and miR-196b-5p in GC; the reconstitution of the TFF1, which acts as gastric tumor suppressor, induces methylation of HOXA10, thereby leading to decreased levels of HOXA10 and miR-196b-5p [137]. This evidence concerns the gene HOXA10 and gastric cancer.
