After adjusting for confounding factors such as age, hypertension, SBP, DBP, diabetes, fasting glucose, smoking, TC, cystatin C, homocysteine, proteinuria, and FHS, binary logistic regression showed that hypertension (OR = 2.827, 95% CI = 1.513~5.283, p = 0.001) and age (OR = 1.069, 95% CI = 1.011~1.129, p = 0.018) were significantly associated with WMH (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene CST3 and hypertensive disorder.
