A recent multi-institutional retrospective study conducted by Maxwell et al. on CaP incidence in a cohort of patients with Li–Fraumeni syndrome (LFS) showed that men with LFS had a 25-fold increased risk of CaP compared to the population controls, and the rate of inherited deleterious TP53 variants was nine times higher than men with no CaP [47]. Here, TP53 is linked to Li-Fraumeni syndrome.
