Impaired expression of these Na2+-ligand (SCNN1A, SCNN1G), Na2+-voltage-gated (SCN3A, SCN1B, SCN2B), K+-ligand (KCNN4, KCNJ15, KCNK1, KCNJ6, KCNQ1) and K+-voltage-gated (KCNC2, KCNA4, KCNH4, KCNQ5) and the chloride (ANO4) channels triggers pH imbalance, alters osmoregulation, affects cell volume, and enhances metastatic progression of gynecological cancers [90,91].
