On admission, the febrile UTI group had higher WBC, absolute neutrophil count (ANC), serum CRP, procalcitonin, urine WBC and red blood cell (RBC), and urinary hepcidin–creatinine ratio than the fever control group (p < 0.001, <0.001, <0.001, 0.008, <0.001, 0.001, and 0.016, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and bacterial urinary tract infection.
