We found that the protein expression of TXNIP and STAT3 was increased in HUVECs treated with sera from HD patients compared to sera from healthy controls (TXNIP: 2.04 ± 1.16 vs. 0.92 ± 0.29, respectively, p < 0.01; STAT3: 1.31 ± 0.75 vs. 0.57 ± 0.43, respectively, p < 0.01; Figure 2B). This evidence concerns the gene TXNIP and Huntington disease.
