In addition, one patient in the tafenoquine plus dihydroartemisinin–piperaquine group had mild, asymptomatic increases in alanine aminotransferase (>3 × upper limit of normal) and total bilirubin (>2 × upper limit of normal), indicating possible drug-induced liver injury, following relapse of malaria 84 days after tafenoquine administration, and approximately 5 h after the first dose of dihydroartemisinin–piperaquine plus primaquine (30 mg) for relapse treatment. Here, GPT is linked to malaria.
