TEX15 and male infertility: Here, using whole exome and genome approaches, we examined genomes of 1,097 men with spermatogenic failure with filters for variants from 336 previously reported gene candidates that are confidently linked to male infertility (Oud et al., 2019; Alhathal et al., 2020; Houston et al., 2021) in addition to variants in TEX15. After ruling out any other variants as stated in the Methods section, we identified significant TEX15 variants (likely pathogenic and VUS) in 7 out of 1,097 men with unexplained male infertility.
