In logistic regression, variables with a statistically significant association with hs-cTnI elevation included C-reactive protein > 10 mg/mL [P = 0.048, odds ratio (OR) 2.657, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.009–6.996], type 2 diabetes (P = 0.0025, OR 4.809, 95% CI 1.738–13.308), NIHSS > 16 (P = 0.013, OR 3.686, 95% CI 1.315–10.335), and age > 75 (P = 0.02, OR 3.198, 95% CI 1.166–8.773). Here, TNNI3 is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
