Together with Kaplan-Meier curve analysis, HK2 and PKM were significantly relevant with poor prognosis of HCC (Figure 9H). These 21 genes were involved in transforming this substance on the metabolic pathways, among which HK2 and PKM participated in the reaction process of glucose to Glucose-6-phosphate (G-6-P) and phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) to pyruvate as metabolic enzymes, respectively (Figure 9I). The gene discussed is PKM; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
