(91) investigated the combined effects of IFN-α and sorafenib on HCC and found that the combination therapy synergistically inhibited HCC cell viability, arrested cell cycle proliferation and induced apoptosis of HCC cells by regulating the expression levels of cyclin A and cyclin B as well as pro-survival Bcl-2 family proteins. This evidence concerns the gene IFNA1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
