CASP8 and neoplasm: Necroptosis has a significant role in melanoma invasion, migration, and metastasis since it is implicated in several key ways including the upregulation of death receptors and activation of caspase-8, and mitochondrial complex I inhibition (17, 18) Most studies have focused on the effects of necroptosis on tumor development, treatment resistance, and metastasis; instead, few studies have investigated the potential predictive usefulness of lncRNAs associated with necroptosis in cancer, especially melanoma (19–23).
