Morusin’s cytotoxic effects have been mainly seen in various cancer cell lines, such as those of breast adenocarcinoma, colorectal adenocarcinoma, gastric cancer, etc. Morusin’s ability to suppress Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) and Signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 (STAT-3) activation in prostate, pancreatic, and liver cancer cells has been described in recent research (Agarwal et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and liver cancer.
