CD4+ T cells can further differentiate into T helper 1(TH1), T helper 2(TH2), T helper 17(TH17) and Treg, of which TH1 and TH17 are the most studied, have been shown to promote the development of NASH, and blocking the corresponding signaling pathways can alleviate the progression of NASH in murine models [39,40].
