These data support the observation that elevated ILEI protein levels can be achieved without transcriptional upregulation in psoriasis and also indicate that the necessity of TPA for the manifestation of a psoriasiform phenotype in our ILEI‐overexpressing model can be partially explained by its contribution to the upregulation of the ILEI translational and activating enzymatic machinery. The gene discussed is FAM3C; the disease is psoriasis.
