The findings demonstrated that ADAMTS13 is negatively causally associated with the risk of endometriosis of the ovary (IVW: OR = 0.48, 95%CI: 0.25–0.92, P = 0.028; WM: OR = 0.58, 95%CI: 0.2–81.20, P = 0.140), endometriosis of the pelvic peritoneum (IVW: OR = 0.32, 95%CI: 0.16–0.64, P = 0.001; WM: OR = 0.40, 95%CI: 0.19–0.85, P = 0.017), and endometriosis of the uterus (IVW: OR = 0.45, 95%CI: 0.21–0.97, P = 0.041; WM: OR = 0.44, 95%CI: 0.20–0.99, P = 0.048) (Fig. 4, Additional file 1: Table S8). This evidence concerns the gene ADAMTS13 and adenomyosis.
