In a meta-analysis of gene expression in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), PLCG2 was found to be upregulated in several datasets, including many pathways associated with RA inflammatory responses, e.g., inflammasome activation, platelet aggregation, and activation, indicating that PLCG2 is a potential target for the control of RA inflammation [47]. Here, PLCG2 is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
