Microenvironment of multiple myeloma was found to enhance PIM2 expression by activating the JAK2/STAT3 pathway and the NF-κB pathway to advance cell survival and cleavage of caspase-3 was strikingly reduced by the overexpression of PIM2 in IL-3 deprivation cells, which demonstrated that PIM2 prevented apoptosis by inhibiting caspase-3 signaling [[22], [23], [24], [25], [26],50]. This evidence concerns the gene IL3 and plasma cell myeloma.
