CD86 and aneurysm: Simultaneously, the results also revealed an increase in CD86+ (a marker of M1 macrophages) cells in unruptured aneurysms compared with normal arteries (48.0% vs. 11.1%, P<0.0001) and a further increase in ruptured aneurysms (78.8% vs. 48.0%, P<0.0001; Figures 2C, D).
