Since only PRDX2 was expressed less in tendinopathy than in control normal tendon tissue in both the microarray cohorts and that it was expressed in almost all TDSCs, except the TDSC-7 cluster cells, we hypothesized that PRDX2 is a potential specificity marker and an ideal target for diseased cells (Figures 3B, C).
