Basho et al. treated patients with triple-negative breast cancer, including 59 patients with metastatic MpBC, with liposomal doxorubicin, bevacizumab, and an mTOR inhibitor, namely everolimus or temsirolimus, and reported better outcomes in MpBC cases than in non-metaplastic triple-negative tumors. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
