AGT and Alzheimer disease: Our study also showed that patients without hypertension and those with hypertension who did not receive antihypertensive medications or who received medications other than angiotensin-II stimulating drugs had a significantly higher risk of AD and other types of ADRD as compared to those with hypertension who received angiotensin-II stimulating drugs with higher adherence after considering death as a competing risk in the Find and Gray regression models.
