FOXP3 and neoplasm: Some studies have associated the tumor-infiltrating FOXP3+ T cells and FOXP3 overexpression with poor prognosis in OSCC 17, 42, whereas some studies have indicated that high numbers of FOXP3+ T cells were significantly associated with prolonged overall survival 43, 44, and the levels of FOXP3+ Tregs were significantly higher in surviving oral cancer patients 43, 45.
