Moreover, after we analyzed the clinical statuses associated with genotypic frequencies of FOXP3 rs3761548 in oral cancer patients, we found that those betel quid chewers among the oral cancer patients who carried the FOXP3 rs3761548 polymorphic variant “T” were associated with lower risk of moderate or poor cell differentiated grade [AOR (95% CI) = 0.592 (0.377-0.930), p = 0.023] (Table 4). This evidence concerns the gene FOXP3 and lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
