Downregulated genes, including TANK/I-TRAF, were analyzed in HPV-16 E6-transfected carcinoma cells (34), whereas treatment with the antiproliferative agent cisplatin reversed the condition and downregulated the TRAF2-mediated NF-κB activity (35), indicating the tumorigenic properties of TANK and novel therapeutic targets for cervical cancer. This evidence concerns the gene TANK and cervical carcinoma.
