Abraxane is an albumin-bound, solvent-free paclitaxel NP manufactured by Abraxis BioScience that first received FDA approval in 2005 for breast cancer therapy, and then, in 2012, was approved in combination with carboplatin as a first-line therapy for advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
