Besides, it has been confirmed by literature reports (Lickteig et al., 2007; Kolodziejczyk et al., 2019) that the upregulated expressions of hepatic efflux transporters MRP3, MRP4, and BCRP in NAFLD rats might accelerate the excretion of drugs into the blood of NAFLD rats, resulting in reduced drug exposure in model group rats, which is consistent with the observed enhancement of the elimination rate in the model group.
