It is an early diagnostic marker of nitrosative stress in neurological disorders.[47, 48, 49] 3‐Ntyr causes disruption of protein native structure and interferes with the phosphorylation ability of tyrosine.[50] It disrupts many cellular signaling pathways, such as tyrosine nitration of synaptophysin (Syp), which leads to cholinergic dysfunction.[51, 52] The free form of 3‐Ntyr is equally toxic.[53].
