In our study, Salmonella infection in mice (G2 group) caused significant increase (p < 0.05) in the sera levels of enzymes such as SGPT (2.48-fold), SGOT (2.64-fold) and ALP (18.6%), creatinine (42%), urea (1.84-fold) and uric acid (42%) as compared to the G1 normal mice, thereby indicating hepatic and renal damage due to Salmonella infection. This evidence concerns the gene GOT1 and Salmonella Infections.
