Although the direct impact of FBXL19 and MIER2 genes on cardiovascular disease remain unclear, given the close biological link of the aforementioned cellular and molecular functions to the pathogenesis of cardiometabolic disease [53], the CpG hypomethylation in the FBXL19 and MIER2 genes in patients with ESKD might play a distinct mechanistic role in their premature cardiovascular death. The gene discussed is MIER2; the disease is cardiovascular disorder.
