Similar to FDXR, as we previously reported (44), CPT1A was upregulated in breast cancer cell lines compared to the human mammary epithelial cell lines HMLE and MCF10A (Figure 2H), and higher expression of CPT1A was associated with decreases in overall survival (OS) (Figures 2I, L), disease-free survival (DFS) (Figure 2J) and disease-specific survival (DSS) (Figure 2K) in the METABRIC and TCGA ER+ breast patient datasets (Supplementary Tables 6, 7). The gene discussed is CPT1A; the disease is breast carcinoma.
