By analyzing the TCGA-HNSCC database (Figures 5A-C), we found that CD36 was related to “extracellular matrix structural constituents”, “metalloendopeptidase activity”, “apical junctions”, and “epithelial mesenchymal transition”, all of which enriched in metastasis-promoting functions. The gene discussed is CD36; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
