The comparable distance traveled (FGenotype (1, 48) = 0.1, p = 0.75; FSex (1, 48) = 0.009, p = 0.93, Figure 1B) in the open field test and similar latency to fall (FGenotype (1, 48) = 0.04, p = 0.83; FSex (1, 48) = 0.01, p = 0.92, Supplementary Figure 1) during rotarod test demonstrated that diminished activity-dependent BDNF signaling induced anxiety-like behaviors in both males and females without affecting locomotion activity and movement coordination.
