EGF and neoplasm: Further research identified the miR-30-5p group as a tumor suppressor and possible therapeutic strategy in HNSCC subgroups and showed that miR-30a-5p slowed HNSCC cell motility and inhibits EGF-induced penetration in-vitro. Reduced miR-30 family production was also associated with DNA replica loss, clinical prognosis, and promoter hypermethylation (Saleh et al., 2019).
