Photothermal therapy (PTT) and photodynamic treatment (PDT) for oral carcinoma. The ingestion of RB by cancerous cells is augmented by the RB-AuNRs, which also demonstrate better photodynamic effectiveness. The combination of PTT-PDT characteristics of RB-AuNRs has the potential to treat cancer and offer superior restorative benefits on oral carcinoma than either PTT or PDT used singly. This evidence concerns the gene RB1 and cancer.
