This study was designed to examine the association of the nine functionally most relevant VDR SNPs rs11568820 (C/T), rs4516035 (C/T), rs3782905 (C/G), rs2228570 (FokI) (C/T), rs2107301 (C/T), rs1544410 (BsmI) (G/A), rs7975232 (ApaI) (A/C), rs731236 (TaqI) (T/C), and rs739837 (T/G) with PCOS risk and the severity of the disease phenotype among Egyptian women. Here, VDR is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
