Analysis of TCGA data revealed that a set of cholesterol biosynthesis genes showed positive correlation with USP28 expression in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC) as well as in LSCC, but not in normal lung tissue (Fig. S5a). The gene discussed is USP28; the disease is cervical squamous cell carcinoma.
