Via functional METTL3-related in vitro and in vivo assays, Shi and colleagues found that knockdown of METTL3 suppressed the expression of several inflammatory factors, such as MMP-3, MMP-9, and interleukin (IL)-6, in human RA FLSs and in adjuvant-induced arthritis (AIA) rat models. The gene discussed is METTL3; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
