SOD2 and Parkinson disease: Our findings demonstrated that FMT from PD patients amplified the neurotoxicity of MPTP in mice, likely by inhibiting the AMPK/SOD2 pathway and aggravating gut dysbacteriosis, while FMT from healthy human controls alleviated this neurotoxicity by upregulating the AMPK/SOD2 pathway and adjusting gut dysbacteriosis.
