Here, we identified and functionally characterized two ABRAXAS1 germline mutations in early-onset breast cancer patients from Germany: ABRAXAS1 c.1106dup, previously identified in the germline of two ovarian cancer patients of a US-Swedish cohort with family history of the disease [1], a US triple-negative breast cancer patient [27] and three further cancer patients [26, 28, 29] but not in the Flossies project of ~10000 cancer-free women >70 (https://whi.color.com/). The gene discussed is ABRAXAS1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
