Although TROP2, CLDN7, and CEACAM5 were completely negative in adjacent normal regions, more than one-half of the regions of incomplete intestinal metaplasia, dysplasia, and gastric cancer expressed TROP2 (71.4%, 54.5%, and 53.8%, respectively) and/or CLDN7 (85.7%, 63.6%, and 63.6%, respectively) (Supplementary Figure 2D and E). The gene discussed is TACSTD2; the disease is dysplasia.
