HNF-1α-inactivated hepatocellular adenomas (previously called steatotic adenomas) account for 35–50% of adenomas and are usually seen in females with oral contraceptive use [145] and in patients with autosomal dominant maturity onset diabetes of the young, type 3 (MODY3) [144]. The gene discussed is HNF1A; the disease is hepatocellular adenoma.
