Despite our small number of patients, we found that the median time to metastasis (number of events = 11) and PCa-related death (number of events = 10) was significantly shorter in the patients with “hot” APC hotspots (65 months, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0–184 vs. median survival not yet reached in patients in the “cold/intermediate” group, with p = 0.014 for metastasis; and 98 months, 95% CI: 0–262 vs. median survival not yet reached in patients in the “cold/intermediate” group, with p = 0.009 for PCa-specific death) (Figure 8b). Here, APC is linked to posterior cortical atrophy.
